The 17th Freshers’ Day was held on the 19th of August, 2023, at the College Auditorium Hall, under the theme ‘The Beginning of the New.’
Dr. Tumbenthung Humtsoe, Economics and Statistics Officer, Government of Nagaland, graced the occasion as the commencement Speaker. The Speaker spoke on a new understanding of career and the beginning of working towards a fresh vision for one’s career. His message was centered around four key questions: What is a career? Which career to pursue? How to have a successful career? When to change a career? Furthermore, he encouraged the students to strive for progress in order to attain success in their careers. He also emphasized the importance of leading a purpose-driven life to find fulfilment and meaning in life, in contrast to popular philosophies that influence people.
The formal session was chaired by Ms. Nepe. Dr. Gopal Chetri, Principal, gave the address, and a special prayer for the Freshers was offered by the Chaplain, Mr. Nzanthung Kikon. A special song was performed by Ms. Edna and Ms. Benni. A musical drums piece was performed by Mr. Marcus. Speech on behalf of freshers was delivered by Mr. Luve Lohe. The informal session was hosted by Ms. Sashimongla and Mr. Koktiba. Special performances were presented by Mr. Rouvisalie Chadi, Ms. Moasenla, Ms. Emei & Ajungla, Drama Club, The Retro Kids, Thunderstorms.
