The 15th inter-collegiate debate competition on “Christianity has brought positive changes in Nagaland” was held on 29th October, 2022. The judges of the completion were EAC Pfütsero Dr. Riku Khutso; NBCC youth secretary N Suhuto Chishi and Gauhati High Court & empanelled lawyer, KDSLA, Apila Sangtam, while department of Political Science, Dr. Ketuokhrieü was the critic for the debate.
Winners of the debate competition were Moarenla Jamir from Modern College Kohima (first), Kushe Shiu from Fazl Ali College (second) and K. Chunchun from Dimapur Government College (third).
The winners were awarded with cash prizes of Rs. 10,000, Rs. 7500 and Rs. 5000 respectively.
Consolation prizes were also handed to five participants—Kitokali from Sazolie College; Pekivi K Kiho from Eastern Christian College; Tiasen from Sazolie College, Nungsangmanen from Clark Theological College and Yongkhongkhumla Chang from Kohima Science College.
Earlier, Sazolie College, department of Psychology, HoD, Keneise-u Gabrielina chaired the programme, invocation was offered by department of Political science, assistant professor Nzanmongi Kikon, welcome speech by college principal Dr. Kangzangding Thou and a special song was presented by college choir, with special presentation from Toshinaro Imchen and Kerimong.
During the debate competition chaplin Nzanthung Kikon acted as moderator.
Later, vote of thanks was proposed by debate committee, convenor, Edward P Sangtam.
The competition was participated by various colleges of the state.
