The Photography Club of Sazolie College celebrated the World Photography Day at the college auditorium on 18th August, 2023 with Mr. Velϋkho Nakro, Freelance Photographer, General Secretary, Photography Club Kohima as the distinguished speaker.
The program began with an invocation prayer by the Chaplain Mr. Nzanthung Kikon, followed by a slideshow presentation by Mr. Kezhalelie, semester V, which included remarkable photos taken by club members. The speaker started his talk with a story of how he began his journey as a photographer. He covered a wide range of topics in the art of photography, cameras, lenses and the life of a photographer. Speaking on the technical aspect, using examples from his photos, he spoke on how photographers need to work with lights. Speaking on the aesthetics, he stated that photography is an art expressing an emotion coupled with meanings. On the life of photographer, he spoke on the hard work that goes into editing, work ethics and taking care of one’s health. The celebration also included an exhibition of photos taken by all the club members which was showcased in the college building.
The program was chaired by Ms. Avitoli, semester V and Vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Sumami, semester V, Vice President of Photography Club.
